Tonight Sarah and I decided to have homemade buttermilk pancakes for dinner. She went the old school route topping her’s with maple syrup and butter. I however chose a different path by topping two pancakes with delicious bbq pulled pork.
Here is a shot of the winning pancake. I mean, look at the smoke ring!
And runner up, maple syrup dude.

My leftover bbq pork, Super Smokers sauce (I think sweet and smokey). I use cherry wood and smoke the shoulder for about 12 hours.

Yo… so, this wasn’t a big surprise this is good. It’s like chicken ‘n waffles only with the other white meat. So, I figured I’d add a comment on what I just tried tonight that also, is not surprising that it is good…
(Just a tiny variation on Chicken ‘n Waffles)
Take a small waffle & put Frank’s Red Hot Sauce on one side, take another small waffle and put Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup on one side. Then, sandwhich some fried chicken between them. Not too adventurous but, mighty tasty… the flavors all kind of alternate very smoothly as you chew and it doesn’t leave an overwhelmingly spicy or sweet aftertaste either.
