I like eating biscuits and a while back I was craving them and ribs so last sunday I got together with some friends to do a little hee haw ass southern brunch. We did it up proper with two kinds of ribs, smoked country ham, mac & cheese, potato salad, biscuits, corn pudding, bread pudding, collards, apple pie and some bullshit ass hummus that a korean brought for no goddamn reason. Anyways this post isn’t about that, this is about biscuits. I really wanted some southern style biscuits and wanted to figure out how to make them super flaky and fluffy. (more…)

it’s going to be epic. this is number 6 and we are going to be robbing motherfuckers for tamale money.

I got faced at notoberfest, the result of more drinking than eating. I don’t remember coming home, lost my tasting glass and probably said things I shouldn’t have. I do remember liking those valley brew beers a lot, also humphry slocombe honey beer ice cream was dope. Their root beer was tasty as hell. First root beer I’d had in years. Last thing I remember is Joe Bank$ asking if I wanted to dj since he’d been on for 4 hours so I plug in my phone and start playing Mantic Ritual and some Mac Dre. I had a good time even though I got smashed, good beer and good food, can’t hate on that.

I asked for a taco de mano, de harina con pollo. I was given this. My friend’s smaller taco is there just for comparison

I threw this up on twitter like a month ago but never posted it here. Anyways I went to Mission Burger in august, it was good. Fries were my favorite part about it though, they were fucking perfect. Not that the burger was weak or anything, it’s a damn good burger, but mayne hold up, those fries were the knock. If you’re around 18th and Mission during lunch time holler at dudes. I want to put this food inside of my mouth again.

no relation to TumZilla. This is one of Ryan Farr’s joints that he was serving this past Sunday at Elixir where he is usually curb serving some champ ass fucking hot dogs. You can see a regular burger in the background.  This wasn’t even mine, my friend Kyle rocked this motherfucker. It’s basically a Farr’s double cheesebuger with money sauce and a mountain of chicharron piled on top.

The regular ones are not that big of a burger which is nice cause you can put away a few but it’s bigger than a shitty slider though. I had a regular burger and a zilladog which is his own hotdog with chicharron, kimchi, money sauce on an acme roll. Both were on point as fuck, the meat in the burger was so fresh and right off the grill gave it such a banging flavor. I definitely cosign the fuck out of this burger.  I thought about getting the zilla burger too but decided against getting fat as fuck this weekend, I already had plenty of pork to polish off at home.  At some point though I am definetly going to put that zillaburger in my stomach.

Pork In The Park 3 went down, got to Dolores which has been undergoing a bit of a crackdown lately. I don’t really like cops or rules so I figured fuck it I’m posting up and doing the damn thing. I’ve done this a few times already and figured I should be cool (more…)
